Chilly Fest 
The Downtown Sylva Association is looking for amateur and professional chili cook-off contestants, artists and crafters for the second annual Chilly Fest on October 10th, 2009. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Bridge Park in historic downtown Sylva and will feature live music during the event.
Individuals and teams participating in the chili cook-off will pay a $15 entry fee. Crafters and artists interested in being apart of this festival will pay a booth space fee of $25. Prizes for the cook-off will be awarded for Best Professional, Best Amateur, Best Vegetarian, Peoples’ Choice and Best Booth in Show. Space is limited, so turn in your application and registration fee soon to secure your spot.
This event is open to the public. A $5.00 donation is suggested for those interested in participating in the chili cook-off tasting and voting in the People’s Choice and Best Booth in Show categories.
All proceeds will benefit the Downtown Sylva Association and the new Jackson County Main Library Complex.
