The next Second Sunday Contra Dance will be on Sunday, May 8. The dance will be held at the Bridge Park Pavilion on Railroad Avenue next to the municipal parking lot.

Contra dancing will begin at 2:30 and go on until 5:00. There will also be a potluck dinner following the contra dance, starting at 5:30. Please bring a covered dish, plate, cup and cutlery and a water bottle.
The dance is free. Participants are encouraged to make a contribution toward the cost of renting the hall.
No previous experience with contra dancing is required and all dances will be taught and walked through before dancing. No partner is required.

Local musicians will play music for all the dances and all musicians in the community are invited to sit in with the band, to jam and learn how to play music for dancing.

Contra dancing is a form of English country dancing that has become very popular with people of all ages during the last twenty years. It uses many of the same figures as square dancing such as circles, stars and swings.
