Sylva After Dark returns to Downtown this Friday, May 7th from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Sylva After Dark is an evening to stroll through downtown Sylva where you can enjoy a night of arts, dining, music, refreshments, shopping and more. This event takes place the first First Friday of each month from May-December. Here is what some of our merchants have to offer for the first Sylva After Dark of the year:
Heinzelmannchen Brewery will have a Food & Beer Pairing from 5- 8 p.m – Taste recipes from Your Gnometown Cookbook and great beer & soda while they celebrate Mike, their Assistant Brewer who is leaving for Brew School.
It’s by Nature will have musical guest Robin Whitley performing in the gallery. They are freshened up and ready for Spring. Serving Wine and Cheese.
Papou’s Wine Shop will have a wine tasting, “Wines of Summer” from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
Signature Brew will show the only Student Show of the year. “Raw and Honest”: artwork by WCU Senior, Justin David Cox. He will be complimented by the very signature sounds of Angela Faye Martin and the Scarlet Oak Sway.
Spring Street Cafe hosts an Art Reception, 6 to 8 p.m., WCU Interior Design Senior Showcase
Live music 6 to 9 p.m. – authentic old-time mountain music with William Ritter and Andrew Payseur
Dinner and drink specials all evening – reservations available but not required
