- City Lights is celebrating the 10th Annual Holiday Giving Tree helps Jackson County children in need. The tenth-annual City Lights Holiday Giving Tree is now underway. Several local social service agencies identify children who are in need this holiday season. Each child, who remains anonymous except to the agency serving the family, will be represented by an ornament on our store Christmas tree. Customers are invited to select a book for a particular child (age and gender are specified) at a 20% discount. We will collect the books for the agencies, who will distribute them to the children in time for Christmas. Books may be given in honor of someone on your own gift list, so you can make two gifts out of one book! Help us share the joy of reading with kids of all ages, for whom books may be a luxury as well as a special treat.
